For less than the price of a babysitter for an hour – who might very well just pop your child infront of his/her iPhone for the duration – buy a hands-on project, that will be a great learning experience and memorable. Now that it’s spring, I love working on the garden and adding to that a Butterfly Tribute Garden for the recent passing of our dear 100 year old Nonnie who had penchant for butterflies. This project held the attention of my four-year-old and two-year-old for about an hour. We are still waiting on the caterpillar to arrive – as the kit comes with a voucher to order them. That just keeps the suspense going.
